Jesse James' New Book, New Life & Austin Speed Shop

A year after his dramatic breakup with America's sweetheart, Sandra Bullock, Jesse James is on ABC's Good Morning America and Nightline talking about his new book, American Outlaw - his upcoming fourth marriage to LA Ink star, Kat Von-D - and his new life as co-owner of Austin Speed Shop.

Now after closing up West Coast Choppers in California, the 42-year-old has started a new life at his home on 15 acres in the foothills of Austin, Texas. "It's what I needed," James said. "Where I can finally breathe." 

He initially moved to Austin so the kids could keep in contact with  Sandra, and so that he might have some contact with Sandra and her adopted son, Louie. But he also made the move for himself, he said in an interview on ABC's Nightline, May 5th.

He has very little contact with his former wife. But he is enjoying a family life with his three children - Chandler, Jesse Junior and Sunny. He says that he has returned to a simpiler life... "All I need is my welding helmet, a box full of welding rod and something to build and I'm in like heaven."

He discussed the break-up with actress Sandra Bullock. "I think, you know, a marriage ending, all this crazy stuff...that was like a lesson to work on myself and fix what's wrong with me," said James. "So I don't transfer it and keep it going, like my parents did."

Here is the full interview. The ABC Nightline interview focused on his new life at home with his kids and at Austin Speed Shop, where he is mentoring young bike and car builders and perfecting his welding skills.

Jesse James and Kat Von D are engaged

“You know, sometimes the public and press gets it wrong,” Jesse told People Magazine. "This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend -- An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs.

“I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day,” he said. “My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said ‘yes.’”

Kat Von D confirmed her relationship with Jesse in September 2010, after his divorce from Sandra Bullock in June and his announcement that the family would be permanently moving to Austin, Texas.

“This is definitely something that I think we weren’t expecting and it’s been great,” the LA Ink star told Access Hollywood at the time.

The couple has not announced when they plan to wed, and where they plan to live – LA or Austin.

Jesse James Moves To Austin

Monday, June 28th the divorce filed by Sandra Bullock in Austin, Texas became final, ending her 5-year marriage to bike builder, Jesse James.

The divorce has not altered Jesse's plan. He is moving his family to Austin in July, after he finishes taping a special for the History Channel. The move will allow his children to remain close to Sandra, who owns a house in Austin.

This could be good news for the Austin Republic of Texas (ROT) Rally -- Jesse intends to permanently move to Austin.

He will continue to operate West Coast Choppers in Orange County, California but also intends to open a Cisco Burger restaurant in Austin. The announcement was made earlier in June at a child custody hearing in California.

Bullock left the couple's home in Seal Beach, Calif. before the divorce.

There is even speculation that (Jesse's 6-year-old daughter) Sunny's biological mother, Janine Lindemulder will move from LA to Austin.

Jesse James Goes To Rehab

Growing up in the 60's in America, the name "whore dog" was used to describe men like Tiger Woods and Jesse James, who in earlier times were referred to as "skirt chasers."

Get over it Jesse, you're just a man who got caught.

Jesse James checked into a treatment facility after nude photos of a tattoo model girlfriend surfaced. Jesse checked in to “deal with his personal issues,” his rep told People Magazine.  “He realized that this time was crucial to help himself, help his family, and help save his marriage."

It was later confirmed by TMZ that Jesse checked in March 26 at Sierra Tucson, a facility that specializes in drug, alcohol, and sex addiction.

Adding to James’ woes this week, a much talked about photo of him making a Nazi salute while wearing an SS officer’s hat is now making the rounds in the media.

Actress Sandra Bullock, who has been married to James for almost five years, has reportedly moved out of their home since the revelation that he has engaged in at least four extramarital affairs.

 
As of this date, (April Fools Day) Jesse James has appologized for bringing “pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension” to his wife and children, but so far  stands by the claim that the “vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded.”

Of course, Jesse James - Hollywood media is not letting go of the story.
